Pretty Hagad started her career in the outsourcing industry in 2008 as Telephone Banking Specialist at HSBC. In 2011, she decided to leave the corporate world to start her journey into entrepreneurship.

She started as a Freelance Contractor at oDesk (now upWork), providing content writing, social media account management, lead generation, email marketing, transcription, email response handling, data entry, email sourcing, billing & invoicing, web research and other virtual assistant services.

Because of her diligence and consistency in delivering excellent service, she made her way to oDesk's Top 10% contractors in less than a year. This year, 2015 she was also given the recognition as a Top Rated Contractor.

The demand for her services eventually grew. Prompted by her commitment to help more professionals and start-up businessess, as well as her desire to be able to create jobs for Filipinos, she decided to start building a team and sharing with them everything she learned over the years.

Starting with a team of 8 agents and with the help of friends who share the same passion and invest in the business, Global Connections BPO Services, Inc. was officially registered as a company in April 2014. In less than a year, they've grown their size to 35 employees, serving clients from all over the world.
