Kennesaw
I am a fresh graduate from Kennesaw State University with a Bachelor's degree in criminal justice!
I spent my last semester of college studying international crime in Amsterdam & Germany. It was an incredible experience I feel privileged to have been a part of.
I am registered to begin classes to achieve a paralegal certificate from KSU, so that I may continue my education and enter into the working field of legal services, in which I am very passionate about!
I am a new & 1st time homeowner, and spend most of my weekends working on home projects and DIY decorations and furniture for my beautiful home.
I have work experience in the serving industry, as I have been a server for the past 3 years. During this time I learned to work very hard to earn my money, and developed excellent customer service and social skills. I also have previous work experience in child care, from years of babysitting for many families and working as an assistant teacher at Kids R Kids day care seasonally for 3 years. Working with children has been some of the most joyful experience I have had.
When I am not going to school, improving my house, and working, I really enjoy volunteering my time and skills. The volunteer work I have enjoyed most and am most passionate about is the last two summers where I have served as a camp counselor for Camp To Belong. This camp caters to siblings and foster care, and gives these children a chance to spend time and build relationships with their siblings. Here I have learned great compassion, understanding, determination, and leadership. Asa counselor, the children really look to us as mentors and I am very proud to be a small part of each and every one of their summer memories.
In the months of October for 2012 and 2013, I created my own charity- Bras For A Cause- to help raise awareness for Breast Cancer in the Kennesaw area. I used my broad social network to reach out to many and ask for bras, (new and used), to be donated. After collecting over 500 bras, I sent them to large organizations, such as The Bra Recyclers and Donate Your Bra to help raise funds to cure breast cancer.
