Hey there! As you may have guessed from the text above, my name is Prianna Ahsan. I'm a well-travelled LA native, having been to 17 countries across 4 continents thus far. I'm currently living in Los Angeles, and working full time to build a distributed data science platform. I graduated from UCLA with a degree in Computational Biology, a research oriented major comprised of study in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Biology. During my tenure at UCLA, I conducted research in computational epidemiology with the Lloyd-Smith Lab. Most of my research involved mathematical modelling and numerical simulation of epidemic dynamics in C++. My favorite classes were CS161 (AI), CS181 (Formal Languages), and Math 115 (Upper Div Linear Algebra).

Given my field, it probably doesn't surprise you to learn that I love theoretical computer science. And I mean, I really, really, really love it. I've been programming since I was 6, so it might just be the case that I love computers in general. Besides programming and waxing poetic about formal languages, I like to spend my free time reading math texts and writing proofs (surprise), building robots, rock climbing, powerlifting, cooking, and exploring urban ruins or other hidden places, and traveling.
