Donna Austin

·Served 8 years on the Cupertino Planning Commission and was elected chair woman twice by her colleagues.

·Member of the League of Women Voters and served on their board for two years

·Served as a member of the Cupertino Historical Society and has been on their board for the last 9 years. President for two years and is presently Vice-President of membership and rotating chair.

·Led the 5 year effort on behalf of the Historical Society to save the Stocklmeir house and orchard.

·Received the Rotary Community Hero award for having worked with them on the Stocklmeir Task Force to form the legacy farm concept for the property.

·Led in the neighborhood watch program garnering nearly 100% participation among neighbors and encouraged neighbors to keep watch in their neighborhood and because of that got city Watch signs installed on their streets.

·Serves as a lector or reader of scripture during mass and Eucharistic minister giving out communion at St. Joseph’s church.

·Member of Quota International of Cupertino serving disadvantaged women and children and deaf, hard of hearing and speech impaired people. Is a Cupertino Quota's liaison with the Chamber for 6 years, insuring attendance at Mixers. Donna has been co-president of Quota and is currently serving as Governor in her district.

·Received the CREST Award for her activism and membership in a wide variety of community organizations. Along with serving as president of the Cupertino Historical Society, Donna has been an active member of the Cupertino chapter of Quota International. Serves on the Board for the Cupertino Library Foundation and Editor of the Cupertino C-News Magazine.
