Hi! I'm Prince Farikeni, a Bachelor of Education student, specializing in English and History whilst serving as a Teaching Studies 2B tutor at the University of Johannesburg.
As an aspiring English teacher, I believe literature has the power to help people understand themselves and the world around them.My teaching philosophy is centred on creating an engaging and supportive classroom where learners actively explore texts, think critically, express their ideas with confidence, and develop empathy through different perspectives. To me, English is more than just a subject, it is a way of connecting with people, sharing stories, and making sense of the world.
Beyond education, I am also a charcoal artist. Working exclusively with charcoal, I create pieces that combine realism with storytelling, believing that every artwork should convey emotion and hold a deeper meaning beyond what first meets the eye.
