Princely is an East Africa Media Lab Fellow (2017), selected to The Africa List (2015-2018) and a Filamu Fest Nairobi Cinematography award winner (2013).
He currently works in strategic development communications for USAID's flagship youth development project in Tanzania: the Feed the Future Advancing Youth activity in Iringa, Mbeya and Zanzibar.
He has led Marketing, Communications and Design for Nabaki Afrika Ltd, a top-100 Tanzanian company with a turnover of > USD 12M and a major private sector player in the country
Has been the Head of Communications at the New Life Foundation (NLF) an international charitable organisation, based in Kilimanjaro with offices in New Zealand, Norway, South Korea, Canada and the USA.
In film, he has directed the Filamu Fest Best Cinematography award-winning film Intercepted (2011), and been an editor at Nairobi-based multiple award-winning production house: X-Media Kenya (2012).
His writing has been shortlisted by Kwani? for a Kenya Short Story contest. Kwani? are East Africa’s leading literary anthology. He has also led and written copy for hundreds of marketing campaigns across East Africa: Dar es Salaam, Arusha, Moshi and Nairobi.

With the Ona Story Network, he is now creating at the intersection of “Africa” “Mobile” “Futures” and “Video” - news, stories and insight for today’s connected Africa. (His first story in this space had an organic reach of over 50,000 people, predominantly from East Africa).
