Prince Omonu Itanyi

Software Engineer in Abuja, Nigeria

I am a software architect and engineering lead with more than 10 years of experience designing, building and leading the delivery of complex software systems.
My strongest work sits at the intersection of software architecture, backend engineering, data modelling and technical leadership. I am most effective when the problem is ambiguous, the system has serious operational constraints and a team needs clear technical direction without losing hands-on execution.

At KadMap Systems, I served as CTO and led the technical direction and architecture of an offline-first enterprise computing platform. The system brought together identity and licensing, secure device connectivity, application deployment, distributed workspaces, operating-system updates and on-premise infrastructure.
I have also led engineering teams and delivered products across enterprise software, education, real estate, energy, sports and other operationally complex domains.

My work typically involves:
• Defining system boundaries, architecture and technical strategy
• Designing backend services, APIs and data models
• Translating business requirements into executable engineering plans
• Leading engineers through implementation and delivery
• Evaluating trade-offs around reliability, security, cost and maintainability
• Remaining hands-on with TypeScript, Node.js, Go, Python, PostgreSQL, Linux, containers and infrastructure

I do not treat architecture as diagram production. I focus on how data moves, where responsibility lives, how failures are handled and whether the system can realistically be built, operated and evolved by the team responsible for it.

I am interested in Staff Software Engineer, Technical Lead, Engineering Lead, Founding Engineer and hands-on Software Architect opportunities.
