An experienced education administrator, Priscilla Sladehas served as special assistant to the provost in the division of academic affairs at Jackson State University since 2008. In this role, she helps to develop programs and activities aligned with the school’s global vision. In addition to establishing a chapter of Phi Theta Kappa, an honor society for transfer students, she developed a program called JSU Passport to the World, which in five years of operation has sent more than 175 students to study abroad in countries such as South Africa, Argentina, and South Korea. The program earned a 2016 Gillingham Award from the Network of International Business Schools.

Priscilla Slade holds a bachelor of science in general business from Mississippi State University, a master of public accounting from Jackson State University, and a PhD in accounting from The University Of Texas at Austin. A member of numerous committees and boards, she belongs to the Mississippi Institution of Higher Learning Articulation Committee and the JSU Faculty-led Study Abroad Committee. In her free time, she enjoys attending movies and playing backgammon.
