Priscilla Williams

Priscilla Q. Williams, RN is a certified chemotherapy nurse
that administers chemotherapy for cancer patients. Her background experience
includes Northwestern University Robert H. Lurie Cancer Center & Northwestern
University Maggie Daley Breast Center. Priscilla has treated and
educated patients that have been diagnosed with cancer of types including lung,
breast, brain, and blood cancers. She also worked as the home infusion
coordinator for the Northwestern Robert H. Lurie Home infusion program.Priscilla is the Executive Director & founder of OpenDoor Resource & Wellness Center. This organization provides resources through education, wellness, and disease prevention locally and nationally. This is accomplished through workshops, seminars, health fairs and speaking engagements. Williams is a Medical Ambassador for the American Cancer Society and sits on board for the American Diabetes Executive Council and Community Outreach for African American Initiatives. Priscilla is also the Project Coordinator for Austin People's Action Center "Wake Up and Face the Truth about Diabetes Campaign". This campaign is geared toward diabetes education and prevention funded by the Illinois Department of Public Health. Priscilla has been featured on television and radio shows where she has educated about diabetes and cancer prevention. She has helped treat hundreds of breast cancer patients including Chicago Sun-Times columnist Mary Mitchell. Mitchell and Williams have teamed up to host events to build awareness within the African American community about breast cancer. Priscilla is also the host of Blog Talk Radio with Priscilla Williams in which her showsfocus on health, wellness, and women's empowerment. Her most recent endeavor is the release of her new book "Living a Life of Passion and Purpose; what on earth are you put here for"? Overall
her mission is serving others by spreading knowledge and power while inspiring
individuals to live a healthy holistic life.
