Prisma is a company in the business of providing solutions to all your adhesive tape needs. The three most common kinds of tape you will find are polypropylene (also known as poly or polypro), PVC and acrylic.

Poly is the most common one since it takes care of most everyday jobs and it is fairly inexpensive as compared to the other ones. It is made with a hotmelt adhesive therefore it is very gummy. This makes it really fuse with the box it is sealing. If you would like to have custom printed packaging tape, it can print on the thickness of 30, 40 or 50 micron. Another customizable feature offered is the color of the poly tape. It can either be tan, clear or white. Customers can also chose to have additional adhesive placed on the tape to made sure it sticks for heavier duty shipments.

A few general rules to keep in mind for when it comes to tape maintenance and storage is to never cut open a box containing tape with a box cutter. The slightest nick will keep snapping at the same spot. This is especially true for poly. When is comes to storing your tape, make sure it is at an ambient temperature of around 20 degrees C.
