Priya Hecktus

Currently a second year student at Algonquin College, studying Business Management and Entrepreneurship. Since high school I have always been very interested in a business career for my future. Working alongside my mother who is a successful entrepreneur and project manage/project developer, I was fortunate to obtain learn excellent customer service skills that put me above my peers at a young age. With that I started my career in retail superstores. I always received positive reinforcement from managers and customers. That’s when I decided to take business management and pursue a career in retail. I am currently in a management position at one of Canada’s largest retail stores. Upon completion of my two year Business Management diploma, I plan to begin training as an assistant manager. My future goal that I plan to work towards is obtaining a job in head office of a retail corporation.
