Profa.Graça Almeida

Hello everyone -

My name is Graça Almeida. I am a university professor in the northeast of Brazil research and developing antioxidant plant activity. I do this in the multidisciplinary laboratory at the local federal university, UFRN (Universidad Federal do Rio Grande do Norte).

In my work as a researcher in pharmacology, and in toxicology, I focus my research work on plants from the semi-arid region of the state.

In Brazil there has been an exponential growth in therapeutic remedies derived from natural resources, particularly flora and fauna. I am totally engrossed in this work.

I live in Natal, the capital city of the state of Rio Grande do Norte.

My personal interests are focused in helping me in my work.

Being fluent and conversant in English is therefore central to that ambition, not only because of my international research work, but because of my passion for travel, and the English language itself.
