Ladi Hamalai

Art Director, Artist, and Teacher in Nigeria

Ladi Hamalai is a young photographer and curator from Nigeria who loves to explore modern art and African culture through blogs, photography, and social media. Nicknamed as Professor by her friends, she explores the length and breadth of Nigeria to capture the Nigerian way of life and bring up social issues as well as cultural norms.

A Lagos girl for almost a decade, Ladi Hamalai started photography when she was a teen, and plans to make a career out of it. Professor aims to capture the best of African wilderness, fashion, and people in her lens and often becomes part of group tours to explore the region. When not photographing in the real world, she curates the work of other African artists on her social media to create awareness about African art.
