Professor Robert Goodwin was appointed as the Dean of New Westminster College of Caucasus University on November 2, 2017, having previously served as the first president of the college from 2011 to 2017, before it became a constituent college of Caucasus University on November 1, 2017. He also previously served as Chairman of the Board of Governors of New Westminster College from 2011 to 2017 and presently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Caucasus University.
Professor Robert Goodwin received a Professorial Appointment as Professor of Business Administration in 2010 by Caucasus University. He has held an active Community College Instructor Credential in Public Services and Administration since 1984 issued by the Board of Governors of the California Community Colleges.
Professor Robert Goodwin was awarded the Doctor of Letters in 2015 by the Bank of Georgia University, and in 2010, he was awarded the Doctor of Philosophy in Business Administration Honoris Causa by Caucasus University. His earned degrees include a Master of Public Administration in Administrative Organization and Management from Golden Gate University in 1984 and a Bachelor of Business Administration from National University in 1982.
Professor Robert Goodwin considers himself as a lifelong learner. He completed the Strategic Human Resource Management executive education program at the Harvard Business School in 1992 and the Advanced Management Studies program at the Yale School of Management in 1987. He has also completed executive education programs at Vanderbilt University, UCLA, and the University of Texas at Austin.
Professor Goodwin served as a member of the Advisory Council of the International Association of University Presidents from 2015 to 2017 and was reappointed for an additional three-year term in 2017. He previously served as a Member of the Council for Foreign Relations from 2013 to 2017, being appointed by the President of the Republic of Macedonia. He has also served as a member of the International Advisory Board of the Research Centre for Studies on Intelligence, Strategic Science and Security in Rome, and the International Advisory Board of the Research Institute for European and American Studies in Athens.
Professor Goodwin previously served as a special advisor to the Governor of Missouri, Governor of Alabama, and both the Governor and Lieutenant Governor of South Carolina.
