First of all, my name is pronounced "pro-MODE". I know that's not what you'd think but life is filled with surprises :)

I'm an actuary based in Toronto, Canada. I've spent my entire career in the world of life and health insurance. Designing products. Helping advisors sell you stuff. Now I help you directly by sharing the best of what I know for free. That's what social media allows — especially blogging about risk and marketing, which I started doing in 2007. I also interview people who make life better on Tea At Taxevity.

What about work? I help people understand the financial risks they face and how insurance helps (Learn About Life). I also do insurance checkups and fill insurance prescriptions.
