Writer and Creative Director in Los Angeles, California
As a Creative Director focused on entertainment brands and content creation, I've developed campaigns for major studios and networks, plus a variety of traditional brands.
I'm currently ECD at Eclipse Advertising in Burbank, formerly GCD at Trailer Park, freelance CD/CW at many LA shops (including Saatchi & Saatchi, Blitz, BLT, Digital Kitchen, Deutsch and more), and ACD / Digital ACD / CW at TBWA\Chiat\Day.
Highlights include:
* writing & directing a series of Back to the Future 30th Anniversary content pieces that starred Christopher Lloyd as Doc Brown (achieving over 50m views online, included in the Blu-Ray, and shown in movie theaters nationwide)
* writing & directing Liam Neeson for the Taken3 "Particular Set of Skills" LinkedIn social campaign (Best in Show at the 2015 Clio Key Art Awards)
* writing the Deadpool April Fool's video in which he kills Mario Lopez, plus the costume reveal of him lying on a bearskin rug
* overseeing the Jurassic World digital & social campaign
* launching the Nissan LEAF, the first mass-produced 100% electric car (and directing Robert Downey Jr. VO sessions in the process)
* creating the first-ever iAd, in direct collaboration with Steve Jobs and Lee Clow
* creating the first-ever reality series for the web, SOCOM Hell Week, in which couch potato gamers "won" the privilege of experiencing legit Navy SEAL Hell Week (two contestants later became Navy SEALs)
* launching the PS3 with interactive web films that achieved 25m views
* going to Cannes, SXSW and other cool places and events on the company dime
* sometimes sleeping once in a while
As a Screenwriter, I'm repped by UTA and One Entertainment, have had several scripts optioned, multiple writing assignments over the years, and 2 films in pre-production:
* SNOWFALL (Gold Circle & Benderspink producing)
* INFERNO (Radar Pictures & Greenlight Media producing)
I also co-founded and am now sole contributor to the space and scifi obsessed Tumblr blog, It's Full of Stars (at www.IFOS9000.com and on Twitter @IFOS9000), which has attracted more than 200,000 followers.
As a human being, I have a lovely wife and delightfully charming young son, two cats, and a dog named Indiana.
