Please read some of the links. The poaching crisis in Africa is staggering. In South Africa it is the rhino and probably some elephants but the majority of elephants killed are in DRC and CAR ,Kenya, and Tanzania. The poaching of elephants funds terrorist organizations. Then there is trophy hunting of elephants in Zimbabwe and Tanzania.

Lion farms in South Africa breed lions to be killed either by bow and arrow or rifle. They use "volunteers" who pay to go there to interact with lion cubs in the name of conservation. so they do not fear humans. Then when they are too large to interact with "volunteers" they are crammed into caged areas until a wealthy hunter pays big bucks to kill one. At that time they are released into a fenced area where they are killed so these sick individuals can mount their heads on their walls.

My interest in the US is homeless cats. There is a "shelter", and I use that term loosely that kills between 30- and 60 cats per day. I adopted 2 very sick cats, I worked with a rescue in NYC who pulled these cats and made transport arrangements because I live in PA.
