Hello. I'm Pru Foster. I have worn many caps in my life from astronomer to ecosystem and climate researcher, community activist to litter picker, all the way through to keen gardener and mum. Most recently, I've become a writer and have written a book called A Drop of Grace: Finding and Protecting Our Common Ground. This book speaks to all kinds of people about the environmental crises facing us, why they are relevant to each of us, and how we can solve them. I explain why preventing catastrophic environmental failures will only occur if we make adjustments to our lifestyles and material expectations. I also write a free newsletter "The Prudent Lifestyle" on these topics which you can access by clicking on the bar above "Read my articles."

But contrary to being an imposition, these lifestyle changes are an opportunity to diversify our wealth, strengthen our communities, and lead healthier lives. Acts that nurture nature also stimulate connectivity across social divides as we realize that a healthy biosphere is in all of our best interests. Whether we see eco-conscious choices as inherently moral or as the consequence of caring for other people locally, across the planet, or in future generations, protecting the biosphere is our common ground. Whether you are doubtful about the need to protect nature or are an avid eco-advocate A Drop of Grace will help you to strengthen your eco-conscious convictions and behaviors.
