PRZ Sarshar
PRZ’s life has been adventure. When he was 8 years old he, woke up in Tehran, Iran, and watched and lived through an entire revolution. After fleeing the country with his family and eventually gaining asylum in the Unites States, Pirooz started his quest to become a black belt in Tae Kwan Do, continuing to teach, train and compete until he received his 3rd degree. After becoming frustrated with tastes, flavors and products, Pirooz decided that the only way to get things his way was to teach himself. Pirooz began learning how to cook and became fascinated with grooming techniques, products and men’s fashion.
Pirooz began his career in the beauty and grooming industry as a teenager, being trained as a barber and stylist by some of the industry’s power players. As a beauty and grooming expert and instructor, Pirooz has headlined international trade shows, conventions and academies in 43 states and 17 countries. After creating numerous concepts, in the late ‘90s, Pirooz singlehandedly created the first online destination where, in their own private space, men could learn about grooming, lifestyle and premium products.
Groominglounge.com is the largest distributor of upscale grooming products. Other extensions of the Grooming Lounge brand include the Grooming Lounge stores, which were the country’s first and most profitable upscale men’s barber shops and spas; and the Grooming Lounge catalog, the first of its kind dedicated to men’s grooming and lifestyle products. Pirooz developed the Grooming Lounge products, the first grooming products created in an actual barber shop and tested on thousands of men.
After years of educating men, Pirooz created PRZman, with the goal of helping men to feel attractive and confident in every environment, because it’s not easy being a man.
Pirooz is a frequent resource for the media on men’s grooming, fashion and lifestyle, having been featured in hundreds of publications worldwide, such as Details, GQ, Men’s Health, Maxim, Business Week, Newsweek, USA Today, The New York Times, LA Times, Wall Street Journal, Women’s Wear Daily, Financial Times and the Washington Post. He is a frequent contributor on Fox News, CNN, “Good Morning America” and several web portals including Men’s Health.com.
