Yeah... that's me in a nutshell.

I'm a writer first, college kid second. Then there's that bit about being human. I've got ferrets. Four of them: Ringo St. Claire II, Sir Walter Beck, Lady Panda Macbeth and the youngest, Edmund la Fleur. (The one in the photo is Walter... He was curious about my camera and decided to finally pose for me. I call it ferret-dog.)

As a writer, I've found my true passion. Reading had been a means of escaping into the worlds of others. Then I decided I wanted to escape into my own world. Admittedly, I've got nothing finished; I'm a perfectionist and terrified of rejection...or, at least I was before. I decided to stop being terrified and be awesome instead.

As for my hobbies, I'm proud to admit that I crochet and I knit. Currently, I'm making a patchwork blanket of granny squares with circle centers (go team Mikey!) and ripply yarn. I'm making progress - it's slow, but relaxing.

My current projects include a short story (Grapefruit Chronicles), a series of short stories (The Human Condition) and a novel (Esper), whose completion is set for the end of this year. That was my year-end goal for 2013 and I'm determined to finish it, or get damned close.
