PSMIITH is a modern day expressionist, creating art in as many forms as inspire him. At the age of 4, he distinctly remembers riding through the city, listening to Seattle radio, singing and rapping along as TLC & Aaliyah transitioned into 2Pac. At the age of 8, his mother would introduce him to two other early inspirations in Lauryn Hill & Missy Elliott , while she played songs on repeat for hours at a time. By the age of 10, he learned how to record his favorite songs from the radio onto cassette tapes, making early mixes for anyone who had a tape player. This is also where he would write down lyrics to every song that he liked in order to learn them faster, which quickly turned into the thought, "I am going to write songs that are on the radio one day."

From Blackstreet to Nas, PSMIITH would have sold out concerts in his bedroom almost daily, performing hit after hit. He was infatuated with words at an early age which naturally led him to explore writing poems in the homemade cards he gave to his mother on special occasions. Though he always had interest in the spoken word, it wasn't until his senior year of high school when he suddenly rose out of his sleep one night and had a unmoving urge to write a poem. He wrote one...then two...then before a few hours passed, he had composed five pieces and memorized three. This would serve as the beginning of his focus on writing development.

PSMIITH has been honing his craft for the past 10 years, performing, writing thousands of poems and songs, publishing a book, writing another, and is currently gearing up to release his first full length project. “When I write, it is not for self-gratification; I write to help people get through life’s challenges and offer them something they can relate to,” says PSMIITH. He believes that standing behind your own work and putting love and effort into it before anyone else even acknowledges it, is the most beneficial thing a young artist could do. “Everyone talks about dreams, but dreams are only fantasized about. Goals require strategic planning, work ethic and passion. You must have faith and constantly practice your craft. You cannot settle for ‘good enough’ and expect everything to work out.” Time doesn't wait for anyone, and neither does PSMIITH.
