Kat Puchowska is a documentary photographer whose work is a quiet celebration of everyday life and the rich tapestry of cultures that colour our world.

Born in Poland and now living between Barcelona and Nottingham, Kat’s journey with photography is as much about the exploration of places, people, and stories as it is about capturing images.

A graduate of Nottingham Trent University, she has spent the last eight years travelling around countries, chasing moments that often slip by unnoticed. She has an eye for finding the extraordinary in the ordinary: a glance, a gesture, a fragment of daily routine that speaks volumes about identity and belonging.

Her style is honest and vibrant, marked by a respect for natural light and an eye for unposed, authentic moments. Kat works mostly by observing quietly, blending into the background so that her subjects remain themselves, not performers in front of a camera.

Beyond the lens, Kat is driven by a deep curiosity about how people live and connect with their environments. She believes that photographs can build bridges, helping us to see each other with more empathy and understanding in a divided world.

Her work has been shown in exhibitions across the UK and has included meaningful collaborations with NGOs like Share a Smile in Cairo.

Currently, she is immersed in a new project exploring life in Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, continuing her ongoing conversation with the world through the stories she photographs.
