Amy Pugh considers it a privilege to be part of the Pewaukee School District in southeastern Wisconsin. Since 2009, she has served as the district’s Chief Information & Technology Officer, bringing over 20 years of elementary classroom teaching and instructional coaching experience to the position. Ms. Pugh was instrumental in the implementation of the district’s 1:1 Teaching and Learning Initiative. This initiative, in its ninth year, provides students in grades 2-12 with a mobile device to support their daily learning. Amy was recognized by the Pewaukee Chamber of Commerce, receiving the Employee Appreciation Award, acknowledging her leadership in this transformative initiative that is “...truly personalizing how students learn.”

Amy attended Lynchburg College in Virginia (her native state) where she earned both a B.A. in Music Education and a M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education. She also earned a M.Ed. degree in Instructional Technology from Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee, WI. Ms. Pugh recently earned the Certified Education Technology Leader (CETL) designation by passing a rigorous national certification exam.

Ms. Pugh serves as President-Elect on the Wisconsin Educational Media & Technology Association Board of Directors and is also part of the Wisconsin Digital Learning Advisory Council. She is a member of AASA’s Digital Consortium, collaborating with other national education leaders on emerging and successful models of best practices using digital media in support of engaging and effective learning experiences. Ms. Pugh has presented at numerous state and national conferences, including QUEST, NSBA, NQEC, WASB, WEMTA, and SLATE.
