I obtained my master's degree in journalism from Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University. At Medill, I specialized in health, science and environment reporting.

I have worked with CNN Health and Medical news in Atlanta and Delhi-based Governance Now magazine as a senior correspondent. I reported on rural development, real estate and urban development, politics, art & culture and social justice issues.

I have also worked as the Senior Communication Coordinator Intern at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine.

I have traveled extensively in India for reporting assignments from small cities to remote areas near India-Bangladesh border. I have reported for six months from a village for a joint project for Associated Network of Social Responsibility- South Asia Region and World Bank right at the outset of my journalism career.

I have a bachelor of science degree from Calcutta University and Master's degree in Journalism and Mass Communication from Amity University, Noida.
