hello, my name is Stephanie. & I, Stephanie is proud to be a cancer survivor. this is my story: Afew months ago, my left leg started hurting, I didn't know why it did. So, I told my mom & she told me we needed to go the doctors, so they told me it was a sprained knee. so, I was like; ok, well that isn't so bad, for tripping on something. Then, I started getting tripped, dropped on the ground "piggy-back rides" & all of that. Then, my leg is getting bigger and bigger. Then, it started hurting REALLY BAD. I went to the doctors on my birthday, "March 22nd." & got the results. I have cancer. The cancer is called 'Ewing's Sarcoma' in case you didn't know what that is, it's a bone cancer. I have a tumor in my leg. What great news I got on my birthday, huh? A few weeks after, they told me I needed Chemo. Let me tell you; the Chemo can make you sick. But, it changes your whole life. I've had chemo for a whole year. '1 year' it was NOT fun. I had to stay at the hospital, but you know who was with me the whole time? my mother. <3 In the middle of the chemo process, they told me I needed to get radiation for a month to also shrink down the tumor. First; hair loss. That was so scary. & I didn't cry though...I was scared. Second; my feet. They started burning, & I couldn't walk because of that. I needed to soak my feet every day, I tried wearing flip flops and those things slapped against my feet so hard it burned worse. so, I walked on my tippy-toes. ;) or layers and layers in socks. p.s: socks didn't work out that will for me. Third; the radiation. It burned the back of my leg so bad, I couldn't walk either. so, I had a leg brace, & tightly wrapped it around my leg, and it was fine to walk. I had to put lotion on it every night so it goes away. it's 10x worse as a sunburn. Fourth; my feet, hands, peeling so badly it was so sick! Fifth; my nails and toenails are ingrown toenails && fingernails because of the chemo. It hurts. & that's my one year of hell of chemo. The nurses were so nice! I loved them so much! But, I broke my leg 'femur' because my bone was so weak of the chemo and radiation. They told me I could go out to lunch, then go back to the hospital for a scan. "Don't break any bones!" they said. & guess what I've done? I did it. :/ First; I was at my use to be friends house to pick up my blanket, & I was going up some stairs and my leg just popped! then, I couldn't walk. Second; I was walking through a door,
