For over 25 years, Tom, known as the “Trainer to the Trainers®” has had an enormous influence over the fitness industry, both professionally and consumer based. Tom’s inception into the industry began as one of the founding authorities for The National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) back in 1989; he revolutionized the thinking of movement and exercise and made it global. Tom’s enthusiasm and passion prompted him as a keynote speaker to various organizations including the Mayo Clinic and multiple IDEA Personal Training Summits. Additionally he has been a favored speaker and workshop leader for trainers and professionals worldwide. Tom served as a biomechanics consultant, specializing in commercial exercise equipment design and use, for Cybex from 1995 to 1998, and from 1999 to 2009 consulted exclusively with industry founder Nautilus.

As host of the Bowflex infomercial from 1995-2009, Tom and his instructional DVD’s have directly helped millions of at home users achieve their goals. Tom was most accurately described by Vogue magazine as “the personal training guru who changed resistance training”
