Puseletso Phogole

Student, Volunteer, and student Teacher in Johannesburg

My name is Puseletso Phogole, a third-year Bachelor of Education (Senior & FET Phase) student at the University of Johannesburg. I am passionate about teaching and driven by a strong desire to make a meaningful difference in learners’ lives. I believe that teaching is more than a profession, it is a powerful tool used to inspire, uplift, and transform communities.

Beyond my studies, I am actively involved in volunteer work. I serve as an administrator and nutrition program volunteer at UNICEF@UJ, where we educate children about the importance of healthy eating and nutrition. I also volunteer with the Community Engagement program at UJ, where we assist the less fortunate through various student-led initiatives. These experiences have strengthened my passion for service, leadership, social responsibility, empathy, and community-based learning.

In my spare time, I enjoy watching netball, a sport I used to play in high school. I still follow it closely and make it a point to attend matches whenever UJ is playing, proudly supporting my institution and celebrating student excellence on and off the court. Netball reminds me of the importance of teamwork, strategy, and determination values that I bring into my teaching practice.

I am always open to connecting with like-minded individuals who are passionate about education, youth development, and creating positive change.
