Putrajaya to Baling by Bus
Putrajaya is one of the prettiest cities in the whole of Malaysia. It is the federal administrative capital and is a completely modern city that has been planned well as rapid construction started only in the late 1990s. The city has never pressed its pockets when it comes to spending on the infrastructure of the city. This has resulted in Putrajaya being a world class living and working environment. I was amazed by what I saw, as it is one city in Malaysia after Kuala Lumpur that is capable of competing at the international level. A major feature of this city is a manmade 650-hectare lake where boating and water sports is encouraged by the tourism department. One of the best features of this lake is that it has been specifically designed to cool down the city as well as assist in flood control and water purification. Baling is located in the state of Kedah and is quite close to the international borders of Thailand. One of the best things about this city was its Bukit Recreational Forest, which is considered one of the best places if you are travelling with your family and looking for a picnic hotspot. The forest has a huge waterfall that is about seven storeys tall and has clean turquoise blue water flowing in the lake. This makes for a picture perfect location. There are quite a few options to travel to Baling from Putrajaya but I figured out that the best one would be by Bus. This is precisely because it had the shortest duration of travel.
I booked my Bus tickets from
and I found quite a few options online to book and express as well as an executive coach. Since I wanted to cut short the duration of my journey, I ended up booking an express bus. It still took me about 8 hours to complete the journey. This included a short break of about 30 minutes. There were only two operators plying on this route between the two cities, which were Plus Liner, and Trans Nasional. Plusliner only had one bus plying in the entire day, which was at 7:30 pm in the evening. The cost of the ticket was about MYR43 and there were about 41 seats in the Bus. I chose to travel by Plus Liner as the departure time was mat
