Puya Ghandian
Irvine, California
"At 17, Puya Ghandian discovered the world of personal development. He instantly recognized the value of studying books such as Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill and applying their principles. For example, he says, "I learned that going the extra mile makes a difference." He employed that truth while working as a receptionist at an advertising company. "I arrived earlier and stayed later than everyone else. I was never afraid of hard work, and they noticed." Within two years, at age 23, he became a vice president at the company. At first he was thrilled with the promotion, but before long Puya realized his life was all work and no play; he had become a slave to his job. When a trusted friend posted a comment on Facebook about a new business venture, Puya responded instantly. "I had learned it's important to hang out with people who have their stuff together, and this guy did. So I joined Nerium," Puya says. "Within months, I left my previous company and jumped into my Nerium business. Now I can set my own hours!" Today, Puya enjoys sharing personal-development lessons with others. He speaks at Nerium events about the importance of knowing, visualizing and achieving one's dreams. He's learned that dreams should be as much about fun as they are about business and financial success. "I'm not all about work," he says. "Like other people in their 20s, I have lots of fun." But thanks to Nerium, he enjoys life with a lot more income than most people his age."
