Peter van Heusden

I work on tools for pathogen bioinformatics at the South African National Bioinformatics Institute (SANBI) in Cape Town, South Africa. One project is COMBAT TB (combattb.org). I am from a non-traditional academic background (I started as the lab systems administrator) and passionate about scientific workflow systems, developing (open) African science and our work on Mycobacterium tuberculosis.
