Hi! I am Deniz, also known as QuantumStorm.
My hobby is collecting Star Wars figures, vehicles and playsets from Episodes 4 - 6 and from the series "The Mandalorian". The collection currently contains over 1,000 objects and is currently only limited by the size of the flat 😉
I saw "Star Wars" on an 8mm (?) film projector with a stretched bed sheet in a shortened version at the age of 7. From then on, Star Wars excited me and I started collecting. But how do you collect at the age of 7? You charm your parents and grandparents. 😁
Time went by and other things became important (you know what I mean). The first collection was sold for small money and only a handful of figures remained.
Then, in 2008, I had an idea: I wanted to make a stop-motion film and what was the first thing that came to my mind? Well, of course: "Star Wars". So I dug out my remaining old figures again, but I was of the opinion that a spaceship should not be missing from Star Wars. So I got myself a Kenner Millennium Falcon.
Well, what can I say? The passion for collecting was rekindled and the film... has not been made to this day.
I am often asked whether collecting doesn't get boring sooner or later. The answer is: No!
The peripheral areas of collecting alone are fun. That's how I got into photography and video shooting. I have also built my own furniture for my collection and am an enthusiastic hobbyist on the side. Most recently, I tried my hand at building acrylic boxes, but I still have to work on that.
I have also taken a liking to 3D models, which my sister prints out for me and then I paint (a job for the dark and cold season).
