Queen Ekejija

Dallas, Tx

I have the desire and vision for both my personal and professional life to center around the empowerment of diverse cultures & community development. I’m interested in opportunities for growth in environments that foster public service, transformational change, innovation and teamwork.I am also interested in media and government relations, social entrepreneurship, urban policy, economic empowerment, community engagement and human rights. As a firm believer of living a purpose-driven life, my objective is to positively impact every opportunity that I am granted. Because of my love for connecting people, one of my ongoing ambitions is to serve as a liaison between organizations and their publics. Skills that will aid in this liason role include cultural competency and flexbability.

I'm a proud 2014 Teach for America Corps Member teaching 8th grade U.S. history in Dallas, Texas.

During college I was involved with various organizations on campus including UT African Student Association, Students Leaders Pursing Law, Pre-law National Black Law Student Association, The Black Homecoming Planning Committee. I’ve also had the opportunity to work with the Osher Lifelong Learning Center, University Libraries, AmeriCorps, Texas African American Chamber of Commerce. , Blacks in Technology, Noble Strategic Partners, and am currently a community programming intern for EZCorp Financial Services. Let’s just say… I like to, and always will enjoy lending a helping hand.

When I'm not studying, I'm working. When I catch a few hours of free time you’ll find me cooking (or eating), sharing my life on Twitter or Instagram, reading new info on the web, or dabbling around in the style & beauty spectrum.
I’m currently in Dallas, Texas if you’d like to colabolorate on an idea. I’m open to new projects and love meeting new people.
