My name is Karen and I’m 30+ originally from Antigua, but residing in New York, NY for over 20 years.

I absolutely love to read. Reading to me is the same as how movies are to other people. I love discussing what I love (and or hate) about books with others.

My favorite genre in books is romance. I love a good romance novel. I’ve ventured into suspense.

Island Queen Reviews is a book review blog founded on June 9, 2013, dedicated to my love of books. There are three main reasons why I started this blog:

- To keep track of the books I read, thoughts I had about them, and whether or not recommend them.

- To improve my writing.

- And most importantly: to hopefully make everlasting friends within the book blogosphere!
