Quercus palustris

I am 33, male, white and straight, and the partner of a lovely queer woman. I currently live in Seattle, Washington in the US of A, however I grew up in the Northeast of the country and still think of it more as my proper home.

I have been diagnosed as Bipolar II and with Atypical Panic Disorder, though I'm not always so sure these labels are very helpful or accurate, however they can be useful in simplifying and summarizing the nature of my mood shifts and spikes. I also have Lyme Disease, of which the relation to my psychiatric symptoms may possibly be quite strong.

Currently on leave from work, I have held jobs in IT, food retail, landscaping and administrative positions. What lies next for me is uncertain, but the 9-5 life is looking less and less like a healthy (and even viable) option for me.

I like hiking, exploring, creative movies, classical music and opera (among other types), singing folk and liturgical Jewish songs, cooking, baking gluten free challah and cookies, making love, reveling in thunderstorms and wind storms, learning geography and map making, learning calligraphy, playing with creative software, roleplaying games, some board and card games and just having fun chatting with a few friends in a quiet, relaxed/semi-stimulating setting.
