Quinn Russ

Durham, North Carolina

Hello. My name is Quinn Russ, and I am an educator in the making. While pursuing an Elementary Education Degree (with mathematics academic concentration) and Teaching License through North Carolina Central University and the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction, I have spent years tutoring elementary school students. I have more than 10 years of public service experience and six years of experience as an administrator, trainer, and interpreter; training soldiers and civilians in security and cultural familiarity; as well as five years of teaching Korean private institute elementary students to understand and speak English as a second language. I have helped to develop continuity of business relationships between US soldiers and civilians, and Republic of Korea soldiers and civilians. Also, in 2004 and 2005, I assisted in the only weekend local college conversation group in Wonju, Kangwon Province, Republic of Korea. My strengths are commitment and adaptability. As a tutor and substitute teacher, I have directly partaken in the numeracy development of hundreds of elementary school students. As a point of contact; I have led soldiers in Korea, Germany, the US, and the Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia; and received various awards. I use positive motivation and sense of purpose to build mutually supportive relationships among individuals. My intention is to contribute faithfully while working as a fully licensed teacher. I continue to participate in various community outreach activities in the Durham area. Helping people to persevere through difficulty and take advantage of their opportunities is an ability and talent that I enjoy sharing. Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

Quinn Russ
