Quinn Simpson

Quinn views the world as limitless and full of opportunity. She has worked as a business and youth coach for the last three years, helping young people discover their career of choice and young entrepreneurs to generate ideas and grow their businesses. This experience has given her keen insight into young people and how best to support them into a productive role in society.

Quinn is also the founder and acting director of Akosia, a charity that facilitates creative project for underprivileged children and women. Her responsibilities include accounting, events co-ordination and programme management. Akosia has galvanised her desire to be part of social change improving the life chances of young people whilst giving me valuable experience running a sustainable social organisation.

One of Quinn’s dreams is the transformation of Education, which led her to her starting Graydin. She believes that we need to take all schools back to the concept of Kindergarten and allow it to be a playground for children to learn, fall and get back up again. We need experiential learning, where children learn from experience and gain self-knowledge. We need cross curriculum, project based learning with more flexibility and choice for students. We need a democratic system that offers more equality and power to students. We need more community involvement and a greater awareness of social responsibility. We need a new system.

Her motivation for Prove My Concept stems from belief in the transformation of education to better reflect requirements post education. She believes the best way of achieving this is through closer association with business and the qualities and competences associated with it. This is entirely matched by the capacity and vision of PMC.
