Quinn Thereaux

Hello Portland families!

I'm Quinn Thereaux, professional nanny and babysitter.

I'm born and raised in Portland and I've been nannying here for fifteen years. I center my practice in supporting kids in their wellbeing and growth. I'm playful, engaging, warm, and empathic. I've worked with several dozen families over my career, with kids ranging from three months to fourteen years in age, and with a wide variety of personalities and needs. I've worked in most every neighborhood on the east side, and some on the west side too!

I love getting kids outside as much as possible, with lots of park time and nature walks, asking questions about flowers, counting the pine cones we find, listening to birds -- things like that! I also love engaging kids' curiosity with imagination play, music, art, languages, reading, storytelling, cooking, water play in the kitchen sink, and just talking about the universe.

I'm non-binary and transgender and I use they/them pronouns. I'd love to work with more trans and non-binary parents and kids -- if you're out there, please be in touch!

My rates are $17 - $23 per hour, depending on what you're able to afford. I ask for an extra $2/hour for each additional child, and I charge $100 to $135 sliding scale for overnights.

I don't drive, but I'm happy to bike, bus, or walk with kids!

I'm CPR and First Aid certified.
