Scotland
I'm from Scotland and currently living there and enjoying the great outdoors. I'm social and active and love to travel too. I'm happiest when I'm carving up the ski slopes on my snowboard with my friends.
I've snowboarded throughout Europe and in Scotland too and love both. people often forget the Scottish ski resorts on their mad dash to the Alps each year, but when the snow conditions are good in Scotland, they're the best with powder snow, relatively empty pistes and breath taking views. Even better is the fact that they are actually in our doorstep!
As for Europe, I of course did my ubiquitos ski season in the southern French Alps where I worked as a receptionist since I speak fluent French. Beautiful scenery, a brilliant apres-ski culture and snowboarding daily made it a great experience. I have also been lucky enough to go boarding in Switzerland and in Finnish Lapland. The Finnish ski resorts have to be my favourite - there is just something so special about spending time up there. Add to that the night time lit slopes and it is truly magical.
This year I have booked my les deux alpes ski holidays early so I can't wait to get away again. I'm all set, right down to my apres-ski snow boots (I only just got them and am anxiously anticipating the cold weather!) - I hope it is another cold and snowy one following last year's recored breaking levels of snow in Scotland. Bring on the winter!
Aside from snow sports, I also love animals, the countryside and playing various sports (you could say I'm a little competitive) as well as going out dancing and meeting with my friends.
