My name is Rebecca George, I am a photographer in Katy, Texas. I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Photography from The Art Institute of San Antonio in June 2015.
In August of 2012 I earned my Associate of Arts degree from Northwest Vista College. I have a passion for sports photography, but I am always exploring other styles of photography and looking to take on new challenges. I have photographed the San Antonio Stars of the WNBA, the San Antonio Rampage of the AHL, and the San Antonio Missions of the Texas Baseball League.
October 2012, I had the opportunity to be the assistant photographer for the San Antonio Spurs. The job included setting up the remotes and cameras on the backboards, selecting photos and communicating and sending photos to the NBA in New Jersey during all home games. In January 2015, I had an opportunity to be a second shooter for the San Antonio Spurs as well as my other responsibilities.
As a former athlete and current sports fan, I knew this was the right direction for me. I have always loved photography, but it was not until I was working towards my degree in sports medicine and realized that it was not for me, so I decided to change my field and turned my passion of sports photography into a job. I am currently working with the Houston Astros photographing at the home games, focusing on fans and action. My dream is to be photographer for the NFL.
