Russel Gumembi

I came from a backgraund of a christian family, well and fairly educated in my society doing what is best to serve God's word and to help my people to have a better living. We share, care, love, and take responsibilities to meet the needs of our people. Not very much as a duty to me, life has been a stori of evoluation in may ways. To myself as it may seem to anyone, to the surrounding community that I've been brought up and the world itself. I say "The word is a place of evluatoin". It all started when I was a small boy.

I have started my education in my villedge located in the rugged mountion range of Morobe Province, Eastern coast of Papua New Guinea where your would find the most ever green buity of the natural tropical rain forest like no where else any in the world. life has started out for me by then away from my parents.

In 1993 I started my first class among the other local kids in the bigs city Port Moresby doing grade one at Waigani Demonstration School. I then Transfered to my home city Lae to complete grade six becouse my parents had moved to work at the city. I was among the hard working student performing very well and putting my school up in the score board and was selected for high school at Bumayong Lutheran Secondary School. I completed my grade 10 and futher into Bugandi Secondery to complete my grade 12. By now, I have grown independent away from my parents and guidiances to feel the taste of life in two years at boarding life.

These was really a time of life for a challenging career where I have to make decision and choose for every deeds and parts to take. I was so carefull not to be in a falling ground, there fore I was so thouoghtfull about every thing that matters to me, even if it is to put away some of my usual activities such like going to church, playing sports, social activities and what you may think of so that I may have enough time to for school work.

Now it come to the finish product comes with a tears of cry, joy and happynes to be shared amang my family to go back with an offer for a place in the colledge and University. I became the top Biology and Chemistry student and a role model to those who have gave up on there education career.
