R.L. Bell

I am a freshman at the University of Georgia. I am origionally from Reynolds, GA, but my family moved to Macon eight years ago. I went to middle school and high school in Macon, so that's where I know most people. I attended Rutland High School, where I was very active. My junior year, I took on the role as Student Council President. As a senior, I continued in that role, but also served as Beta Club President, Senior Class President, and was an editor for our yearbook. When it came time for college applications, it was a very easy process for me. I knew that I wanted to go to UGA, so I applied early. I am grateful that in November of my senior year, I already knew where I was headed.

I was also very involved in my church back home, Mikado Baptist. In my teen years I went on mission trips to Argentina and Mexico. I have been very fortunate to have the opportunity to travel. I have also been to Austraila, New Zealand, Fiji, Wales, England, and Ireland. Travelling is a great experience, and I look forward to going many more places in the future.

I really want to be an involved student at UGA. I have a passion for people, and for serving others. I love to help people out, and my main desire it make a positive differnece in the UGA commuity. I hope to do this by serving on Freshman Board my freshman year, and also being involved with Athens CrossTrainers and UGA Miracle. I am looking forward to these next four years as a Dawg!

Philippians 4:6 (NIV)

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
