Hey, I’m Rosalind Elsie Franklin and I was born on July 25, 1920 into a socially well-connected, upper-class family in the United Kingdom’s capital city, London. I’m an X-ray crystallographer and chemist living in London, United Kingdom. I am a fan of Science, Challenges, and Chemistry. I’m also interested in trekking and travelling. I´m known for the crucial work I played in the discovery of DNA’s structure. - My mentor was Ronald Norrish, the winner of the 1967 Nobel Prize in Chemistry.

- My X-ray diffraction images of the DNA molecule were key to the double helix model of DNA discovered by James Watson and Francis Crick.

- I pioneered work on the molecular structure of tobacco mosaic virus and the polio virus.
