Raafay Awan

Jacksonville, Florida, United States

My father tells me he had a dream one night. To him a boy will be born, who, if stays on the right path, will do big things in life, the very next day I was born. My parents named me Raafay, meaning "One who never let others down". Although it was just a dream but my life from the very start has been full of expectations, in whatever field it maybe.

Up till now though, It hasn't been an easy ride. My life has been topsy turvy all along the way. Full of tough times, full of happiness, full of excitement, full of dreadful moments, full of success and full of failures. When I look back at it, It has been a tough and challenging journey and I thank Allah for blessing me and guiding me through difficult phases of my life.

One thing more that I'm thankful for are the people around me. Who make my life exciting, happy and worth living.

I want to do something special for my country, my family, and the people around me. I want my life to be an example for everyone. I want to be the one who sets examples for others by my actions and I try my best for that though I'm no way near perfect. I do believe that one day Allah willing I'll do something that will make everyone proud!

I eat and drink and sleep and breathe Cricket. I am from a proud cricket family. My grandfather has served Pakistan as a player, captain, winning both World Cups as a coach. Cricket has always been my motivation, more so because that's the only thing that unites us these days as a country. I love everything about it. I also want to be the world's first Cricketologist.

They tell me Im the Top youngest blogger of Pakistan and 54th in the world but I aim higher. I know I'm not good at writing, I know I'm not the best, but I just have one thing in my mind when I write. That's to convey all the good things I see and all the worth things I read to the people.
