Bob Barrett is a entrepreneur at The ReWired Group, technology & product investor and master coach. Previously Bob was and innovation catalyst in the auto industry at the OEM and Tier 1 level where he developed products and managed their implementation from concept to launch. He currently serves on the boards of Gen 8 and Purifi.me . Demand-Side Innovations is based on a belief that consumers have Jobs-To-Be-Done both in business and consumer markets. Products and services fit into peoples’ lives by doing those jobs better than the other options available to the person. People hire and fire products and services based on how well they perform.

New products and services introduced into the market and into peoples’ lives are candidates to be hired. Jobs-To-Be-Done are formed in peoples’ minds based on:

1. The situation the person is in at the point of purchase;

2. What progress ther person is trying to achieve;

3. The anxiety the change creates in the mind of the consumer;

4. The allegiance to the old way of doing things.

By understanding the combination of these factors, we are able to create a demand generation model, which enables us to find many different market opportunities that are not obvious. It's like having “night vision goggles” for marketing and product development opportunities.

Having a clear understanding of the customers’ JTBD empowers us to size, prioritize, sequence and focus ideas, business models and acquisitions with and extremely hight degree of precision and confidence.

Bob has recieved the Positive Coaching Alliance's Double-Goal Coach multiple times and remains active with mentoring athletes. He is a active reader with an eclectic approach towards topics, ideas and intersests. He approaches life with a Face your Fears, Live your Dreams attitude that resonates with those who appreciate and understand the hard work necessary to make progress. Bob beleives that simplification is hard work and its better to teach people to think than telling them answers.
