Rachael Salmen

I am a 22 year old, from Waverly, Nebraska. I was born in Albion, Nebraska and attended preschool at St. Michael's church until we moved to Waverly where I attended there, K-12. I graduated in 2011 in the top ten percent of my class and decided to obtain my Associate of Arts through Lincoln Southeast Community College post-graduation. When I was finished at SCC, I decided to transfer to Concordia University, Nebraska in Seward in order to complete my teaching degree in Secondary Education with an emphasis in Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology). I will be graduating in spring of 2016 after I've completed my semester of student teaching.

With my degree, I believe I will be offered many opportunities to teach in diverse settings. One of my hopes is that I may teach overseas. It's been my dream to live in Ireland since I can remember, but I would be grateful for any opportunity. I'm look forward to facilitating a learning environment in my classroom and changing students' attitudes toward Science.
