I will graduate from the Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication in Spring 2013, earning both my bachelor and master's degree in just four years. Throughout college I've explored both a print journalism and public relations emphasis, but ultimately decided to pursue the path of PR. I love working with people from all over the world, which I discovered through my public relations internship at The Phoenician Resort. Once I graduate, my goal is to practice PR internationally in the travel and tourism industry. After I spent a summer abroad, studying the diversity of media styles in Rome, Paris and London, I realized how much we can learn by immersing ourselves in other countries and cultures. My minor in global sustainability also broadened my worldview and empowered me to make a difference, an awareness that I hope to take with me no matter where I end up. I try to live my life by a quote from Mark Twain, which inspires me every day to take chances: "Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover."
