I am currently serving as Academic Manager for the NorthStar Foundation where I oversee all curriculum development, hire and coach academic advisors, as well as create digital learning opportunities to target a diverse group of students. As a seventh grade teacher at Russell Middle School, I extended my skills outside of the classroom to include facilitating a 4-year school wellness site plan, serving as an instructional coach, and utilizing data to develop grade-level writing rubrics for the district. I am committed to creating an educational environment where teachers share research, new perspectives, and culturally responsive teaching strategies to ensure student success. My personal philosophy of leadership is grounded in the importance of modeling integrity, serving others, and responding to the ever- changing needs of a community.
