Rachel Hill
Program Coordinator, Nonprofit, and Youth Development in Camillus, New York
Rachel Hill is a youth development professional with expertise in after-school settings, non-profit leadership, prevention, and evaluation. She is currently completing her dissertation on effectively building adolescent resilience in rural afterschool programs through Grand Canyon University. Rachel is an avid learner, and loves to research topics of interest regularly. She is currently seeking to expand her horizons, and continue to develop professionally in her career.
Rachel believes that children and adolescents are the cornerstone of society, and with the appropriate support and development, can become productive members of society. She continues to advocate not only for her clients, but for afterschool platforms as a whole. Rachel sets the bar in her organization, and is passionately molding her program into the standard in its community. It is a dream of Rachel's to one day have a comprehensive program that can be utilized internationally to build resilience in youth despite demographics, risk, or other obstacles.
In her free time, Rachel enjoys geocaching, which utilizes problem solving and attention to detail to complete tasks. She also spends her time helping promote local organizations and entrepreneurs through the use of social media and merchandising.
