Hi everyone, my name is Rachel and I possess a passion for travel, writing and reading. Fortunately, I have been able to combine my passions into my working life spending nearly 7 years at a local travel company producing written content for the website that was used as a marketing portal for featured tour operators to promote their holidays to the general public. Unfortunately, towards the end of last year, the company had a revamp and because of this, my role was made redundant so I am actively looking for my next career move - any ideas?

I believe that I can bring a wealth of skills and experience to the table. My previous boss had so much faith in me that when he realised that I could manage the PR and Marketing activity for the website, he cancelled the contract with an external agency and left me in control - a challenge that I thoroughly enjoyed. As a result of this change, the company received increased press coverage thanks to my knack of creative writing, an eye for a good story and excellent communication skills - both written and verbal. I am a friendly, hard-working team player who's not afraid to go by my own instinct whilst following a work hard/play hard attitude to life.

Whilst I consider my next move, I have been using my time wisely but also quite enjoying being a lady of leisure - meeting up with friends and family, reading, looking forward to hen weekends and considering whether it will be possible to make my dream a reality and explore the West Coast of the USA with friends - need a job first!
