Rachel Rowan
Student, Volunteer, and Mentor in Raleigh, North Carolina
I am currently a first semester junior at North Carolina State University perusing a Bachelor of Arts in Communications degree with a concentration in Public Relations. I am very interested in finding an internship or part-time job opportunity in the field of Communication and/or Event Planning in Raleigh, NC this fall.
My past work experiences include serving as a Special Events Assistant and a Server at Old Town Country Club. I have served on various committees as well as engaged myself in many clubs/affiliations and volunteer opportunities throughout my time in college. This past summer, I was given the opportunity to travel to Europe on a multi-cultural study abroad program. I visited 5 countries and 12 cities with world-renowned professors and 59 other students that were accepted to the program from all around the world. The knowledge I have gained from previous employment, volunteer/community activities, and international travel have prepared me to be successful in the professional world. I am confident that I am ready to begin my career path in Communication and achieve success as an intern or part-time worker, while being given the opportunity to further my education, communication skills, and passion for Public Relations/Event Planning.
My professional interests range widely from the professional sports industry to the fashion industry. I am a driven, confident, and passionate person, and offer my fullest extent of accountability, ambition, and enthusiasm to all things in which I commit myself and set my mind to. I enjoy learning new things, meeting new people, and using my creativity and problem solving skills to accomplish any goals in which are presented to me.
